Program Overview and History
Creative Minds is a small academic centered school located in downtown Eugene. Creative Minds roots are in providing small learner centered environments for boosting student achievement in core academics. Creative Minds began providing education in 1996 through alternative programs and in 2003 expanded to provide courses for the Network Charter School (NCS).
Creative Minds recognizes the need for non-traditional students to gain a multifaceted educational experience that is generally not available through alternative education or standard public schools and so joined the Network Charter School.
At the core, Creative Minds is about the individual academic needs of the student. We expect every student who leaves our program to have fundamental reading, writing and reasoning skills which they may apply to the various circumstances of their lives. We believe in empowering students through the gift of education so they may better live rich intellectual and emotional lives.
Through NCS we strive to provide learner centered academic classes that both educate and motivate students to explore their world more deeply. Through the combination of experiences available at NCS it is our desire that students gain the skills they need for life and the desires to actualize their own potentials.
